1. Introduction & Consent

This Privacy Policy applies to NovoLimp Storage Cleaner (“NovoLimp”, “we”, “our App”), an Android storage cleanup, junk file removal and duplicate media management utility published on Google Play Store. This document describes all rules regarding data collection, storage, processing and protection when you use our application.

By downloading, installing, granting storage permissions, scanning device storage and performing cleanup actions within NovoLimp, you fully accept all terms of this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any provisions, please uninstall NovoLimp and stop all usage immediately.

NovoLimp complies with Google Play User Data Policy, Google Data Safety standards, EU GDPR, California CCPA and COPPA. All core file scanning and cleaning logic runs locally on your device by default; we will not automatically upload your private photos, documents and personal files to cloud servers without your voluntary opt-in.

2. All File Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) Permission Statement

Sole Required Sensitive Permission: MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Manage all files on storage)

NovoLimp only requests full file access permission, without requesting contacts, SMS, location, call logs or other sensitive permissions. This permission is mandatory to realize full storage cleanup functions and cannot be replaced by scoped storage APIs.

Functional Necessity for Full File Access

Android scoped storage cannot traverse all folders in internal storage, external SD cards and OTG storage to detect residual app cache, junk logs, duplicate pictures/videos, unused APK packages and large redundant files. MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE enables full storage traversal to classify junk files for users to clean up manually.

Permission Usage Restrictions

  • The App only reads file metadata such as name, size, format and path to identify junk files; it will not parse the internal text, image or confidential content of your private documents.
  • No file will be deleted without your manual preview and confirmation inside NovoLimp.
  • All scanning operations run locally on the device; scanned file information will not be uploaded to servers automatically.
  • Users can revoke all file access permissions at any time via Android system settings; all scan and cleanup functions will be disabled after revocation.

3. Information We Collect

Voluntarily Provided Information

  • Feedback text and device information submitted via in-app support forms to report scan failures or compatibility bugs
  • Optional email address provided voluntarily to receive replies to your support tickets
  • Local user preferences: Scan filter rules, file sorting settings, temporary scan cache saved only on your device

Automatically Collected Anonymous Technical Data

  • Device system data: Android version, device model, NovoLimp version, total and remaining storage capacity
  • Anonymous advertising ID: Used to display free contextual ads; users can opt out via system privacy settings
  • Aggregated crash and performance logs: De-identified error reports for bug fixes, containing no private file content
  • Anonymous usage statistics: Scan frequency, cleaned file volume and feature click records, unlinked to individual users

Data We Never Collect

  • Contacts, SMS, call logs, calendar data, background real-time location tracking
  • Bank accounts, credit card credentials, identity documents and all financial sensitive data
  • Third-party app login information, private chat records and internal confidential content of other applications

4. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is only processed for limited service purposes, and will not be reused for other purposes without your separate explicit consent:

  • Provide core storage cleanup service: Traverse full storage through all-file permission, classify junk files, list duplicate media and large files for manual user deletion
  • Optimize App compatibility and performance: Fix scanning crashes, accelerate full storage scan speed for all Android devices
  • Maintain free App operation: Show contextual ads via AdMob SDK; scanned file data will never be used for targeted ad matching
  • Handle user technical support: Reply to feedback and resolve permission or storage scan compatibility issues
  • Comply with Google Play platform rules and global data protection legal obligations

NovoLimp will never sell, rent, trade or license your device metadata and scanned file data to advertisers, data brokers or any commercial third parties.

5. Third-Party SDK & Data Sharing Rules

NovoLimp only shares anonymized non-personal technical data with necessary service providers, all of whom sign strict non-disclosure data processing agreements.

Integrated Third-Party SDKs

  • Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collect anonymous crash logs for bug repair; cannot access local device private files
  • Google AdMob: Provide free in-app advertisements, process advertising ID to control ad display frequency
  • Google Play Billing: Process premium ad-free upgrade orders; all payment data is fully managed by Google and never stored by NovoLimp

Mandatory Legal Disclosure

We may disclose anonymized statistical data when receiving valid court orders, official government regulatory requests, or when necessary to protect platform security and user data safety.

6. Data Storage & Retention Rules

  • Temporary scan cache: File scanning indexes and preview records are stored in NovoLimp’s private directory and automatically cleared after closing the App
  • Anonymous crash & usage logs: Retained for up to 12 months for product optimization, then permanently deleted automatically
  • User feedback records: Support messages stored for 90 days to reply to follow-up inquiries, then completely purged
  • Local scan preferences: Saved exclusively on your device, retained until you clear App storage or uninstall NovoLimp

NovoLimp does not have automatic cloud sync function for local files; all scanned file metadata only exists on your mobile device by default.

7. Data Security Protection

We adopt industry-standard technical and administrative safeguards to protect anonymous device data and local scan records:

  • All network transmission between device and third-party SDK servers uses TLS 1.3 end-to-end encryption to prevent interception
  • Third-party SDK access is strictly isolated by Android system permission limits
  • Backend staff access control with multi-factor authentication and role-based authority restrictions
  • Quarterly vulnerability scanning on App code and transmission channels to eliminate security risks
  • Formal data breach response mechanism: Affected users and regulators will be notified within 72 hours if unauthorized data leakage occurs

No digital storage or network transmission can guarantee absolute security. Please set a screen lock password for your mobile device to avoid unauthorized access to local files.

8. Your Global Privacy Rights

All NovoLimp users worldwide have the following controllable privacy rights:

  • Right to restrict data collection: Turn off crash log reporting and advertising ID tracking in Android system privacy settings
  • Right to erase local data: Clear App scan cache and all temporary file records via system application management
  • Right to withdraw consent: Revoke all file access permissions for NovoLimp at any time, and all storage scan and cleanup functions will stop working

9. CCPA Rights for California Users

If you live in California, USA, you have additional rights under CCPA. You can request full disclosure of all data categories collected in the past 12 months and demand deletion of anonymous statistical data. NovoLimp never sells any user personal identifiable information, so there is no data sale opt-out process. Exercising CCPA rights will not restrict core free storage cleanup functions.

10. GDPR Rights for EEA & UK Users

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland are protected by GDPR. You have the right to object to data processing based on legitimate interests, and may file a complaint with local data protection authorities if NovoLimp violates GDPR rules. Cross-border data transmission outside Europe uses European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure equivalent data protection standards.

11. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

NovoLimp Storage Cleaner is suitable for users aged 13 and above. We will not actively collect personal identifiable data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent required by COPPA. If you are a parent and find your minor child used NovoLimp without your approval, please contact our privacy email; we will delete all child-related stored data within 14 business days after identity verification.

12. Policy Update Notice

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy to adapt to updated Google Play policies, global data laws and App functional adjustments. Major revisions related to full file access permissions or third-party data sharing will be notified via in-app pop-ups at least 14 days before taking effect. Minor text corrections only update the "Last Updated" date at the top without separate advance notice. Your continued use of NovoLimp after the effective date of revised terms means you fully accept all updated clauses.
